These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Dotcase – EU Compliance (the "App"), a Shopify application operated by Dotcase – Özgür Kadir Taşkesen, Nienburg, Germany ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App, you ("the merchant") agree to these Terms.

This is important. The App is a tool to help you implement certain compliance tasks. It does not constitute legal advice, and using it does not by itself guarantee that you comply with any law, regulation, or directive.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We do not warrant that use of the App will result in or guarantee compliance with any legal requirement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for intent or gross negligence, or for harm to life, body, or health under German law).
Dotcase – EU Compliance ("the App") is a software tool designed to help merchants implement features related to EU consumer law, including the right of withdrawal (§356a BGB / EU Directive 2023/2673) and the legal guarantee notice (EU Directive 2024/825).
The App is distributed globally and may be used by merchants in many different countries. We have no control over how, where, by whom, or for which products the App is used. It is the merchant's sole responsibility to determine which laws apply to their business and to ensure compliance with them.
The App is provided as a technical aid only. It does not constitute legal advice, and use of the App does not by itself guarantee that a merchant's store, products, or business practices are compliant with any law or regulation. Legal requirements vary by jurisdiction, change over time, and depend on each merchant's specific circumstances.
We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding legal compliance, fitness for a particular purpose, or the accuracy, completeness, or up-to-dateness of any legal text, withdrawal form, guarantee notice, or translation provided by the App, including translations into any of the supported languages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, penalty, or claim arising from the merchant's reliance on the App for legal compliance. The merchant is strongly advised to consult a qualified lawyer or legal advisor in their own jurisdiction to verify their compliance obligations before relying on the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which you are established. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
